Avis India expands self-driving fleet size with 15 new car models


India’s leading mobility solutions provider Avis India has introduced a series of product enhancements to its Self Drive fleet.

Avis India is a joint venture between Avis Budget Group and The Oberoi Group.

Avis India’s Self Drive service is now available in five major cities in India viz Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurgaon and Noida.

The car rental company has also ramped up its fleet size in all these cities and has introduced new and popular variants in four segments like Hatchback, Sedan, Multi Utility Vehicles and Sports Utility Vehicles.

Avis India’s one of the major USP is that all cars are delivered to and picked up from the customer with no additional cost.

Sunil Gupta, Managing Director & CEO of Avis India said, “Self Drive market has started to take a shape in India over the past couple of years. There are a few reasons for the growing popularity of self drive in India like changing travel trends, improvement in infrastructure, Technology and Financial benefits.”

Avis India’s new fleet includes car models from leading car manufacturers such as Ford, Maruti, Mahindra, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, and Renault.

The fleet has now 15 car models like Amaze, Etios, Ecosport, i10 Grand, Figo, Swift, Dzire, Ertiga, Ciaz, Duster, Innova, City, Creta, Scorpio & XUV 500.

Avis India has a fleet of more than 5500 premium cars across the country, with a network extending across 50 conveniently-located rental stations in 20 cities.
