BharatBenz steals Busworld India 2016 show with its school and staff buses


Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a 100 percent subsidiary of Daimler AG, has showcased its latest products from BharatBenz portolio for the first time at Busworld India 2016, attracting thousands of business visitors.

The bus maker has displayed a yellow colour school bus that comes with advanced safety features to safeguard children throughout the journey.

The company said that Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) fitted in the vehicle reduces the stopping distance to provide efficient braking.

According to BharatBenz, the aluminique body lowers the centre of gravity and thus improves stability of the vehicle that inturn ensure safety to children.

The school bus is provided with a buzzer in the driver’s cabin, an emergency beacon and a passenger announcement system to ensure protection for the children.

Further it is provided with individual seatbelts and comes with a service door equipped with a stop sign. The bus with 3×2 layout comprises 49+1 seats.

Another attraction of BharatBenz at Busworld India 2016 was its White-coloured staff bus. With an intelligent ECU controlling the engine, the BharatBenz staff bus delivers unmatched efficiency on all kinds of terrains.

It is also loaded with a high-pressure common rail injection pump for better fuel mixing and a viscous fan for improved fuel economy.

Its key highlights include ABS, Anti roll bars as standard fitment, daytime running lamps, modular hat rack with service sets containing AC louvers, reading lamps and speakers.
