Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has inaugurated its 900 th dealership, crossing 4,800 mark for its touch points across India.
In the past 5 years, Honda has aggressively expanded its network foothold in Tier 1, Tier II cities and even in Tier III hubs in rural India.
The company has added 300 touch points in the current financial year with 80 percent of which has been exclusively in the rural and semi urban locations.
Honda will continue to increase its network by adding another 500 touch points, taking the total to 5,300 in the current fiscal.
Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMSI, said, “Along with rapid capacity expansion, introduction of new products across categories and strengthening our network in the metro and urban locations, we are now focusing on increasing our foothold in the semi urban and rural areas.”
Honda’s all authorized dealerships comes with a 4S setup including the industry norm of Sales, Service, Spare Parts and the 4th ‘S’ unique to Honda which is Safety Riding Promotion.
