IMTMA to conduct National Productivity Summit 2016 focused on competitive manufacturing

Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) will organize the 10th edition of National Productivity Summit from November 24-26, 2016 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.

The objective of the summit is to showcase “Competitiveness in Manufacturing”

The three-day event will showcase best practices in manufacturing through plant visits, live case study presentations, keynote sessions, success stories, Focused technical sessions and other concurrent events.

The event includes plant visits to four manufacturing units like Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts, Volvo Buses and Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India on November 24, 2016, giving delegates an opportunity to witness best practices in manufacturing and productivity improvements on the shop floor.

Knowledge sharing sessions on topic of special interest and interactions with industry experts to address the manufacturing challenges at the ‘Experts’ Corner’ will be held on November 24 at BIEC.

According to IMTMA, the summit will provide an excellent opportunity for participating delegates to listen to industry leaders on various aspects of increasing competitiveness manufacturing industry.

While Rane Group’s chairman L Ganesh will be the Guest of Honour at the event, Dr.Andreas Wolf, Executive Vice President, Bosch Group and Anoop Chaturvedi, Sr. Advisor – Production Engineering, Maruti Suzuki India, will be addressing the participants on Productivity and Innovation.

A K Taneja, MD & CEO, Shriram Pistons & Rings, will felicitate the winners of the Productivity Championship Awards 2016 and also address the delegates on the 360o approach to Manufacturing Competitiveness on November 26, 2016.

ACE Designers Limited and Anand Group will reveal their success stories that have redefined their manufacturing processes.

Leading manufacturing companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Super Auto Forge, Brakes India, TTK Prestige, VE Commercial Vehicles and Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts will present case studies, which will vie for the IMTMA-ACE Micromatic Productivity Championship Awards 2016, which gives away cash prizes worth Rs.10 Lakhs to the winners.

Productivity Buzz, a concurrent exhibition at the summit will display a wide range of manufacturing solutions and innovations through product samples, table top models, simulation videos, posters etc.
