IMTMA to organize 2nd Smart Manufacturing Symposium in Banglore

Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is organizing the 2nd edition of ‘Symposium on Smart Manufacturing on February 24-25, 2017 in Bangalore.

The symposium, which will held a Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), is a combination of technical presentations, case studies by users, interactive sessions, panel discussion and brain storming with industry experts.

The theme of the symposium is “Evolving the Factory of the Future”.

Industry experts from top companies like Robert Bosch Engg., Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts,  ABB Global,  Beumer India, Universal Robots, Festo, Schunk Intec, AMIT, IFM Electronics, TAL Mnfg., Roland Berger, Ernst & Young amongst others will address various facets for successful adoption of Smart Manufacturing.

‘Automation Buzz’, a concurrent expo showcasing a wide range of automation devices and solutions will be displayed simultaneously in BIEC.

IMTMA President P.G. Jadeja, said, “Smart Manufacturing is an emerging industrial revolution which will integrate human intelligence with data and technology to effectively manage complex business requirements. The symposium will address and understand the real-time application and benefits of Smart Manufacturing in the Indian context”

The presentations will cover topics like Overview of Smart Manufacturing in the Indian context, IIoT of Robots, Smart & Cost Effective Automation, Big Data Analytics, Data Collection, Manufacturing Plant Integration as a first step to Industry 4.0, Connected Factory, Intelligent Clamping & Gripping – Industry 4.0 ready, Pneumatics on the Network, Collaborative Robots, IO-link technology as a first step towards smart manufacturing, Smart Logistics, amongst others.

The panel discussions will discuss in detail about various aspects of Industry 4.0 relevant to Indian context and draw up a roadmap for successful adoption of Smart Manufacturing.

Symposium will be attended by top CEOs, management executives, engineers, industry consultants and R&D specialists from manufacturing industries such as automotive, auto components, machine tools, and aerospace among others.
