J.S.S Steelitalia promotes stainless steel bus structure through Busworld India 2016

An Indo-Italian joint venture J.S.S Steelitalia has attracted the professional visitors by showcasing its stainless steel bus body structure at Busworld India 2016, an international expo for bus coach sector  held in Bengaluru.

In an exclusive interview to Automotive India News, Mauro Mozzato, Chief of Business Unit, J.S.S Steelitalia, said the Indian bus industry is transition stage. Most of the bus players in the country have been using tubes made out of carbon steel for structural purposes.

“We are promoting stainless steel tubes in India for bus body structure applications. We are the only Indian company providing complete services from raw material selection for the structure, technical assistance in the designing process to pre-approval.”

J.S.S Steelitalia is a joint venture between three companies with India’s Jindal holding 33 percent stake while the majority share of 51 percent is held by the Italian entity Inox Market Service and the rest by Tenshita.

The Indo-Italian JV has its manufacturing facilities in Gurgaon and Hosur in India with around 25,000 metric tonnes of production capacity, of which the company is currently utilizing around 15,000 metric tonnes, Mozzto added.
