KSRTC creates record in Indian public transport with 150th award


Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), one of the largest state-run bus operators, has created record among other state-run public transport corporation by receiving its 150th award.

Karnatata’s government bus operator has won a record of 19 awards in one event for its different projects at 46th SKOCH Summit on ‘transport mobility’ recently.

Four projects, Workplace Alcohol Prevention Programme (WAPPA) and Activity, Prakruthi and Bio Bus, Intelligent Transport System (ITS) with Mobile App and Initiatives City Bus Service for Medium and Small Cities, have won National SKOCH Smart Mobility Award-2016 during the event.

National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation’s former secretary Dr M Ramachandran and Managing Director Anand Kumar have presented awards to KSRTC during the 46th SKOCH Summit held at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.

KSRTC has been earlier rated among the ‘Top 100 Transport Projects in India’ for the year 2016.
