Magneti Marelli Motherson sets up auto lighting, air intake manifold plant in Haryana

Magneti Marelli Motherson (MMM), a 50:50 joint venture between Magneti Marelli of Italy and Samvardhana Motherson Group, has inaugurated its Greenfield facility at Bawal in Haryana to produce automotive lights and air intake systems.

The joint venture plant will supply its products to OEMs in the NCR region including Maruti Suzuki and Honda.

The plant is constructed covering 21,000 square meters with an installed capacity to manufacture 12 lakh rear lamps and 9 lakh air intake manifolds.

V C Sehgal, Chairman, Samvardhana Motherson, said, “The new Bawal facility will enable MMM to expand capacities and service to our customers in the region more efficiently.”

Endorsing this, Pietro Gorlier, CEO of Mageti Marelli, said, “We aim to deliver products specifically tailored for this big market.”

In addition to Bawal, the joint venture also has two other facilities at Pune and Sanand.
