Mahindra drives in electric rickshaw e-Alfa Mini

Indian auto giant Mahindra has launched new electric rickshaw chistened e-Alfa Mini in India.

The electric three wheeler is priced at Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The e-Alfa Mini is powered by a 120Ah battery. On a full charge, the Mahindra e-Alfa Mini can travel for up to 85 km in standard conditions and can achieve a top speed of 25 kmph.

The vehicle will be immediately launched in National Capital Region (NCR) followed by Kolkata and Lucknow. It will be introduced in a phased manner in other parts of India.

 RajanWadhera, President , Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “As the pioneer of electric vehicles and integrated mobility solutions in the country, it has always been our endeavour to make electric vehicles more accessible and best suited for Indian road conditions.”

The launch of the e-Alfa Mini is another step to provide an emission free, green mode of safe intra city transportation in India. The company is aligned to the government’s vision to become a 100 percent electric vehicle nation by 2030, he added”.

Mahindra also offers to its consumers benefit schemes like two years vehicle warranty, lowdown payment and EMI  facility and one free battery replacement.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, said,The e-Alfa Mini comes with the larger Mahindra trust, which is a consumer requirement in the e-Rickshaw segment. With its best in class product qualities, the e-Alfa Mini is set to become the preferred choice of the buyers.”

Mahindra said it has a wide range of electric vehicles in India and can reach out to an entire range  of consumers across segments in both passenger and goods movement.

Mahindra’s current range of products in this segment include the e2oPlus, the eVerito, the eSupro and now the e-Alfa Mini.
