Shell India on expansion mode, reopens fuel station in Ahmedabad

Shell India has license to open 2,000 fuel pump stations in India. Currently the company has been on expansion mode in the country.

As part of its ongoing expansion program in India, International oil major Shell has reopened its fuel retail outlet in Rakhial area in Ahmedabad city today.

The Rakhial fuel pump station is 77 th outlet for Shell in India. Of its total outlets in the country, Shell India has 20 fuel stations in Gujarat alone.

Including Rakhiyal, Shell India now operates 10 petrol pump stations in Ahmedabad city. Shell India is currently covering six states viz Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Assam with its fuel retail stations.

Ravi Sundararajan, General Manager, Shell Retail India said, “The government regulatory environment is getting conducive for fuel retail business in India, especially after the diesel de-regulation that was announced last year.”

Shell V-Power, the recently launched premium performance petrol will also be available at the Rakhial outlet along with other main-grade diesel and petrol variants. Rakhial fuel pump station also offers free engine oil service to bikers.
