Triumph Motorcycles India unveils an easy finance scheme through its financial partner HDFC in order to celebrate its 1600 sales mark in India.
Iconic British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled an easy finance scheme option in order to celebrate it achieving 1600 sales mark in India today.
Within 18 months of launching its premium motorcycles in India, Triumph achieved this mile stone, Triumph Motorcycles India said in a statement issued today. The company has 13 premium motorcycles under five categories for the Indian customers.
In order to celebrate its achievement, the company has announced a financial scheme for the customers to own a Bonneville with an EMI option of Rs 9990 per month for five years. The down payment to buy the motorcycle is fixed at Rs 235,000. The customer can avail this scheme from the private financial institution HDFC, which is an existing financial partner of Triumph Motorcycles in India.
Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycles India said the company values the emotions of its Indian customers and wish them to own iconic Bonneville and hence launched this attractive installment scheme.
The company is selling Bonneville with a price tag of Rs 599,000 (ex showroom New Delhi) in India.
A premium motorcycle market analyst who spoke to Automotive India News said that Triumph Motorcycles India has been giving brutal competition to its rival Harley Davidson in India since its launch in 2013.
The market size for 500cc-plus superbike segment has been growing at rapid pace since past five years. The 500cc and above motorcycle market has expanded significantly to around 3,500 units in the financial year 2013-14 from 450 units of motorcycles in 2008-09.
India-based Royal Enfield is also commanding a sizeable share in the heavyweight motorcycle market in the country.
The premium motorcycle market in India is further heated up this year with the American motorcycle major Indian Motorcycles continuously launching its models while expanding its dealership network too across the country. The year 2015 is likely to see brutal competition between Triumph Motorcycles India and its three major rivals like Indian Motorcycle, Royal Enfield and Harley Davidson in heavy weight motorcycle segment.
