Auto technology major Valeo said the solution used in its Valeo ClimSpray received certification from an independent medical laboratory for its compliance with European biocide efficacy standards.
The company said the product that disinfects and purifies vehicle cabins has the ability to neutralize viruses (including coronaviruses), bacteria and fungi.
Disinfects in 15 minutes
Valeo ClimSpray comes in the form of spray. After its sprayed in the vehicle cabin, it disinfects the interior in 15 minutes flat. It has the dual advantage of not only preventing the spread of infectious microbes at the source, but also releasing a pleasant fragrance.
The spray can be used on both plastic and rubber and does not leave any traces or stains behind.
The company also offers a second product, Valeo ClimPur, designed to use by professionals in vehicle maintenance and servicing.
This product is diffused through the vehicle’s ventilation circuit to purify the air conditioning system. It disinfects and protects, while also preventing corrosion from evaporation and eliminating unpleasant odors. It also fills the cabin with a pleasant scent.
Valeo ClimPur microscopic formulation and its ultra-fine droplets ensures that the product is evenly distributed, assuring a steady flow through the air conditioning circuit. It is also non-flammable and thus guarantees safety for operators in vehicle workshops.
The company said it has also developed a range of solutions for the treatment of vehicles’ ventilation circuits. Installing Valeo’s cabin filters in a vehicle creates a powerful shield against pathogens, pollutants, pollen and allergens.
Valeo’s offering of cabin filters comprises several ranges. The latest in the range can block up to 97% of microparticles of 0.5 µm and above while also delivering 99% efficacy against contaminants and viruses.
