Volkswagen India October 2016 sales up 70% at 5534 units



Volkswagen IndiaVolkswagen India, a subsidiary of European car giant Volkswagen, witnessed year-on-year increase of 70 percent in its sales in October 2016.

Volkswagen sold 5534 units in October 2016, up from 3255 vehicles it sold in the corresponding month of a year ago.

Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “We welcomed the festive cheer with the launch of Volkswagen’s made-for-India and made-in-India Ameo Diesel, expanding our product portfolio to a wider audience.”

With our recent launches, Mayer said the company is well on course to give customers even more reasons to visit the Volkswagen showrooms.

The company said it is confident of continuing its performance in sales and service in the coming months along with new products on the anvil.

Recently, Volkswagen India has announced Volksfest 2016 with special festive offers that, according to the company, garnered a tremendous response and welcomed several new customers to the Volkswagen family.
