Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd said it would come out with new products and marketing initiatives to post record numbers in sales in the coming months.

The 100 per cent subsidiary of Japan’s Yamaha Motor Corp Ltd (YMC) said it clocked a growth of 16.5 percent in domestic sales during July 2015 as compared to the corresponding period last year.

Exciting product line-up with the addition of recently launched stylish scooter ‘Fascino’ and 125cc commuter bike Yamaha ‘Saluto’ and its variant launch (with disk brake) had been instrumental in boosting Yamaha India’s July 2015 sales.

The company’s sales in July 2015 stood at 58,591 units, up from 50,286 units sold in the same month a year ago in the Indian market, recording  a year-on-year growth of 16.5 percent.

Two wheeler maker’s overseas shipments touched 16,689 units in July 2015 compared to 15,654 units exported in July last year, clocking a growth of 6.6 percent.

Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales said the growth numbers are a sign of Yamaha’s robust business plan and strategic customer engagement programmes.
