Zoomcar join hands with Audi in India

ZoomcarIndia’s first self-drive car rental major Zoomcar has partnered with Audi.

The Zoomcar customer in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata can now book Audi Q3 via the Zoomcar mobile app or the website.

The Audi Q3 can be rented out through the Zoomcar platform for
Rs 240 per hour and this includes fuel, insurance, taxes, roadside assistance.

Zoomcar’s CEO Greg Moran, said, “Audi’s confidence in Zoomcar allows us to extend our reach even further, bringing the taste of high performing luxury vehicles to a wider cross section of aspiring Indian consumers.”

The company recently launched a programme ZAP, allowing individuals to purchase vehicles on behalf of Zoomcar, list the vehicle on a dynamic basis on its platform when sitting idle, and then share in the profit on a monthly basis.

To date, Zoomcar has recorded more than 20,000 registrations for the programme.

Zoomcar expects this marketplace model will account for over 550 percent of its overall vehicle inventory by mid-2017.

The model will allow Zoomcar to reach a fleet size of more than 25,000 across 50+ cities by 2018.

“It is our goal to accelerate the expansion of our successful ZAP business model to integrate these new shared mobility products into the market as soon as possible,” Moran added.

Audi India’s Head, Rahil Ansari, said, “Zoomcar represents both visionary car rental and modern mobility. We are pleased to see that luxury aficionados in the country can now experience our youngest SUVs in India in such a flexible way.”
