Hyundai Motor India creates high expectation in the Indian SUV market by releasing design details of Hyundai Creta.
Hyundai Motor India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of South Korean automaker Hyundai, has disclosed the design renderings of its forthcoming compact Sports Utility Vehicle – Creta.
Hyundai Creta has been designed on the basis of ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ design, the car maker’s next generation design philosophy.
Hyundai India, which has a merit of exporting highest number of cars from India, claims that the Creta features SUV design coupled with sleek and sporty profile with a stable and confident look.
The company describes its new SUV as the design with bold front, voluminous side and sporty rear. The hidden A-pillar was applied for a dynamic and unique image as well as more open and airy cabin.
Although the company has not made any official announcement over the launch date of its new global SUV, it is understood that Hyundai Motor India will unveil the car on July 21 in India. Earlier, the company had plans to launch the Creta sometime in August this year. But it is learnt that the company has rescheduled the launch date as to meet the festival season demand in India that commences from Ganesh Chathurti festival.

Another reason to launch the vehicle in July is to take on its arch rival Maruti Suzuki, which is expected to launch Maruti S-Cross in the same time.
The Hyundai Creta is one of among a few passenger vehicles that created high expectations in the Indian automotive market this year. The Creta is expected to give brutal competition in the Indian SUV segment, which is already crowded with the vehicles like Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
At present, Hyundai is giving neck-to-neck competition to its rival Maruti Suzuki in the pricing front. As a strategy to show its importance on the Indian market, the global launch of Hyundai Creta has been scheduled in India.
The company is making announcements on the various aspects of the Creta step-by-step to create hype among the prospective buyers in the Indian market. Hyundai has revealed the SUV name as ‘Creta’ on June 2 and now the company has released the part of its design details.
