
Tata Ace Mega, a small commercial vehicle (SCV) variant from popular Tata Ace family, has best-in-class fuel efficiency at 18.5 km/l.
Indian commercial vehicle giant Tata Motors has introduced Tata Ace Mega, a new small pick-up from the company’s popular Tata Ace SCV family today.
Backed with strong cabin structure and payload of one-tonne, the Ace Mega will be initially available in seven states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
The new SCV, which comes in an Azure Blue colour, will be launched in other states too soon in a phased manner.
Available at Rs 4.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Thane), the Tata ACE Mega is fitted with the fourth generation two-cylinder 800 cc DiCOR engine, that has capability to deliver a power of 40 HP. The company claims that the vehicle delivers a fuel efficiency of 18.5 km/l and can be driven at a top speed of 90 km/h, which enables the user to carry out more trips.
Speaking on the new Ace Mega, Ravi Pisharody, Executive Director, Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said “ The Tata Ace Mega has been developed based on the company’s three-pronged strategy – DesigNext, PerformanceNext and FuelNext- to cater to emerging needs of our customers. Like other vehicles in Tata Ace family, the ACE Mega will also become business partner of millions of entrepreneurs and strengthen their profit levels.”
Two years or 72,000 kilometers warranty (whichever is earlier) is another added benefit. Launched in 2005, Tata Ace today has around 80 percent market share in small commercial vehicle segment.
