Auto IT giant CDK Global launches India operations, targeting various opportunities in the Indian automotive retail segment. The company will also extend R&D support to its global operations. The entry of US-based automotive IT solution provider is seen as the right time when the Indian automobile sector has been booming in recent years. As a result of automotive boom, the Indian auto retail industry also has been growing at significant pace, opening opportunities for IT solution providers like CDK Global.
CDK Global, a global automotive IT and digital marketing solutions provider, announced the launch of its operations in India on Wednesday.
The United States-headquartered CDK Global has inaugurated its state-of-the-art facilities in Hyderabad and Pune. The automotive digital solution provider, initially, will employ 800 employees in both of its centres in India and expand the headcount to 1500 in the next three years.
Steven J Anenen, Chief Executive Officer of CDK Global said the new Indian operations operations are important to supporting our strategic goals and will help the company’s global operations to leverage the technical expertise of the Indian talent pool.
The Indian facilities of the automotive IT provider CDK Global will support its global operations in the areas like product development, Research and Development and customer support.
CDK Global, which is present in around 100 countries and provides IT solutions to automotive retail sector, was spun off from the US-based business outsourcing provider Automatic Data Processing last year.
With around $2 billion in revenues, CDK Global is the largest global provider of integrated information technology and digital marketing solutions to the automotive retail industry and adjacencies.
CDK Global provides solutions in more than 100 countries around the world, serving more than 26,000 retail locations and most manufacturers in the automotive industry. CDK Global’s solutions automate and integrate important workflow processes from pre-sale advertising and marketing campaigns to the financing, insurance, auto parts supply, repair and maintenance of vehicles, with focus on utilizing data analytics and predictive intelligence.
